Job summary

Lucasfilm/ILM is seeking a Production Coordinator in Sydney to organise show operations, coordinate multiple disciplines and report to VFX Producer and Production Manager. You will delegate tasks to Production Assistants and keep the show on track.

The role emphasizes scheduling, information flow, and risk mitigation, while maintaining strong relations with artists and leaders to meet client deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Art, Communications, or related field.
• 1–3 years of work experience in a VFX or animation production environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to improve workflows.
• Australian working rights is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with discipline supervisors to crew, schedule work and align with the show schedule.
• Establish daily/weekly processes for communicating targets and priorities.
• Schedule and track work in ShotGrid with Production Managers.
• Monitor progress to meet milestones and client deadlines.
• Check-in with artists on workload and needs.
• Set up turnovers with discipline crews and provide clear shot info.
• Track client needs and deliveries to hit targets and milestones.
• Generate weekly synopses of discipline accomplishments for leadership.
• Serve as the primary liaison and provide real‑time status updates.
• Anticipate issues and communicate solutions to leadership.
• Supervise and train Production Assistants.
• Organise dailies and shot reviews and capture feedback.
• Perform basic technical troubleshooting for view stations and setups.
