Job summary

St Kilda Football Club is seeking a motivated VFL Manager to lead the operational delivery of our VFL program. You will ensure players, coaches and support staff are organised, informed and ready to perform across all match days and travel events.

Reporting to the Head of Football Operations, this 12-month maximum term, part-time role is based at RSEA Park, Moorabbin, and requires attendance at all VFL fixtures plus away games, with a 2.5-day weekly pattern and flexible scheduling to meet

Qualifications

• Experience within Australian Rules Football at Club, Talent League, VFL or AFL level.
• Strong planning and time-management skills with the ability to coordinate priorities.
• High attention to detail, especially with registrations and compliance documentation.
• Clear, confident communication skills and ability to build relationships with players, coaches and staff.
• Calm, practical approach to resolving issues under match-day pressure.
• Collaborative with flexibility to adapt as program needs change.
• Strong process orientation and ability to establish clear workflows using systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the VFL program: schedule pre-season/weekly activities, manage registrations and education requirements.
• Lead match-day delivery: coordinate venues, access, staffing, timelines, and game-day operations.
• Coordinate people and communication: roster volunteers and onboard personnel with People & Culture.
• Maintain systems and administration: keep Teamworks and PlayHQ records current.
• Manage compliance, tribunal and incident administration: prepare documentation and support players.
• Own travel and logistics: organise away travel within budget and coordinate equipment needs.
• Support player transitions: assist players in understanding requirements and next steps.
