Job summary

The Box Hill Hawks, affiliate of Hawthorn Football Club, seek a dedicated physiotherapist to support VFL players with rehabilitation, injury management and performance preparation across the season.

You will design individualized rehabilitation programs, provide acute injury care, and maintain clinical records in line with AHPRA. Evening trainings and match days are required; the role is based at Box Hill City Oval and Kennedy Community Centre (Dingley Village).

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering rehabilitation programs.
• Experience in acute injury management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation support during training and match days, including player preparation and acute injury management.
• Develop and deliver individualized programs for players undergoing rehabilitation or requiring tailored support across team training and supplementary rehabilitation sessions, in collaboration with the Head Physiotherapist and High-Performance Manager.
• Provide written reports and clinical notes to maintain club records as per AHPRA.
• Assist in developing staff and interns in reconditioning protocols.
• Regular communication with key Football Department staff, regarding rehabilitation progress, player readiness and availability.
• Conduct appropriate physical screening to inform player management and rehabilitation.
