Job summary

Williamstown Football Club in Melbourne invites applications for the VFLW Rehabilitation S&C Coach role within the High-Performance team. You will help develop and deliver rehabilitation programs for players recovering from injuries, and work with medical staff to optimise return-to-play timelines.

You will collaborate with coaches and staff to implement prehabilitation, mobility and activation strategies, and provide regular injury status reports to the High Performance Manager and Head

Qualifications

• Allied Health or manual therapy qualification (e.g. Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Myotherapy or Remedial Massage Therapy).
• Level 2 Sports Trainer (or ability to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Working With Children Check.
• Experience in semi-elite or community-elite football programs.
• Strong taping, acute injury management and sideline care knowledge.
• Confidence supporting concussion protocols (non-diagnostic role).
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong organisation, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with High Performance Manager and medical staff regarding player injuries to develop and implement rehabilitation programs.
• Develop and implement prehabilitation strategies to reduce injury risk.
• Implement strategies to facilitate recovery between training and matches.
• Assist in activities targeting mobility and neuromuscular activation for pre-training and matches.
• Provide injury status reports to Senior Coach, Football Manager, High Performance Manager and Head Physiotherapist.
