RSPCA NSW Hunter Veterinary Hospital in NSW is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to join our experienced team. You will consult on companion animals, perform desexing and soft tissue surgeries, and provide dental care, with the option to scrub in on orthopaedics as appropriate.

About the Role

• Consult with a diverse range of companion animal patients and the clients who care for them
• Perform desexing and soft tissue surgeries
• Deliver quality dental care and oral surgery
• Have the opportunity to scrub in on orthopaedic surgery - or take them on yourself if you are confident!
• Work alongside skilled veterinary nurses and support staff in a collaborative environment
• Provide guidance to the community on animal health, behaviour and welfare matters, with opportunities to be part of our Outreach efforts in rural and remote NSW and participate in media campaigns

About You

• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a compassionate outlook
• A collaborative approach and a positive team mindset
• A commitment to delivering excellent patient care and client service
• A genuine passion for improving animal welfare and dedication to meeting clients where they are at to provide necessary support and advice
