Job summary

RSPCA NSW Hunter Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to join a supportive team. The role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time hours, and involves clinical casework across companion animals, with opportunities to participate in outreach across rural and remote NSW.

You will work with skilled nurses in a collaborative environment, delivering dentistry, desexing, and soft tissue surgeries while contributing to animal welfare initiatives with a trusted organisation.

Responsibilities

About The Role

• Consult with a diverse range of companion animal patients and the clients who care for them
• Perform desexing and soft tissue surgeries
• Deliver quality dental care and oral surgery
• Have the opportunity to scrub in on orthopaedic surgery – or take them on yourself if you are confident!
• Work alongside skilled veterinary nurses and support staff in a collaborative environment
• Provide guidance to the community on animal health, behaviour and welfare matters, with opportunities to be part of our Outreach efforts in rural and remote NSW and participate in media campaigns

• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW
