Burpengary Vet is seeking a Veterinarian to join our growing team on either a part-time or full-time basis. You’ll enjoy a flexible roster with a mix of consulting and surgical caseload, supported by an experienced and welcoming team.

Qualifications

• Holds (or is eligible for) registration with the Queensland Veterinary Practitioners Board
• Experience in small animal practice (ideally 4+ years)
• Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care
• Enjoys building trusted relationships with clients and their pets
• Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied small animal caseload across medicine and surgery
• Perform consultations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
• Use advanced equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory facilities
• Provide preventative healthcare, including vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness checks
• Build relationships with clients through clear communication and education
• Collaborate with a skilled nursing team and veterinary colleagues
• Assist with emergencies and critical care when required
• Maintain high-quality clinical records and continuity of patient care

About Us

Burpengary Vet is a brand-new, purpose-built clinic with a friendly, supportive team environment. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of 5–6 veterinarians and 8 dedicated support staff, including an experienced nursing team and a fantastic reception team who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care.

Our caseload is diverse, providing excellent opportunities to grow your skills across both medicine and surgery. We encourage our vets to develop their own special interests and are committed to supporting ongoing learning, mentorship, and professional development.

What Your Day Will Look Like

No two days are the same at Burpengary Vet. As part of our team, you’ll be involved in:

• Maintaining high-quality clinical records and continuity of patient care

About You

We’re looking for a Veterinarian who:
