Coast Animal Health Lakehaven is inviting a School Hours Veterinarian to join our supportive team on the Central Coast, NSW. This role is designed for veterinarians returning to practice or seeking flexible, balanced hours, with opportunities to grow professionally.

Enjoy a part-time schedule (1–3 days/week), a gradual caseload, structured training through our Veterinary Training Centre, and a varied caseload including small animal general practice, wildlife, consultations, and surgery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinarian returning to practice welcomed.
• Flexible part-time hours with school-time schedule.
• Interest in small animal medicine, wildlife and surgery.
• ISFM accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work 1–3 days per week with school hours schedule.
• Handle routine consults and progressively more complex cases.
• Participate in training and development through the Veterinary Training Centre.
• Provide high-quality patient care and client communication.

At Coast Animal Health Lakehaven, we are seeking a School Hours Veterinarian to join our warm, collaborative, and community-focused team. This role is ideal for a experienced veterinarian returning to the workforce or looking for flexibility and balance, while still delivering high-quality patient care and continuing to grow professionally.

The Opportunity:

This role has been thoughtfully designed to support a smooth and confident return to clinical practice.

• School hours only – no weekends, no after-hours, and no staying back
• Flexible part-time hours – 1 to 3 days per week
• Gradual caseload progression, starting with routine consults and building up to more complex cases
• Structured training and development through our Veterinary Training Centre
• You will enjoy a varied caseload including small animal general practice, wildlife cases, consultations, and surgery.

Coast Animal Health Lakehaven has recently undergone a refurbishment, transforming our clinic into a modern, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital designed with both team and patient care in mind. Clinic is also ISFM accredited.

• Four consultation rooms
• Spacious reception and client waiting area
• One sterile surgical theatres
• Large treatment room
• Separate cat and dog hospital wards
• Digital imaging suite with X-ray and ultrasound
