Job summary

RSL Queensland is seeking an Engagement Officer based in Mackay to strengthen relationships between District Offices and Sub Branches and to help volunteer-led groups access guidance and support.

The role focuses on community engagement within the veteran network, with regular travel across Central Queensland and occasional after-hours flexibility. You’ll work with veterans and their families, building partnerships and delivering positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Background in stakeholder engagement or community development.
• Ability to build credibility with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in volunteer-led environments.
• Current Driver Licence and Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with RSL Sub Branch committees
• Support volunteer-led organisations to navigate local challenges
• Connect veterans and communities with relevant support services
