Job summary

TAFE Queensland is seeking a dedicated Vocational Education and Training (VET) Teacher to deliver learning across on-campus, online and workplace settings. The role focuses on student-centred teaching, assessment design and industry-aligned delivery.

Requirements include MEM31419 or MEM30205, and a recognized TAE or teaching credential. You’ll contribute to program planning and continuous improvement while engaging with industry partners to ensure currency and relevance.

Responsibilities

• Display teaching competence and a student-centred approach.
• Lead and manage effective teaching and learning in classroom, workplace, simulated and online environments.
• Utilise blended and inclusive learning techniques responsive to student cohorts.
• Design, develop and implement assessment tools meeting industry standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance training quality.
• Build relationships with students, staff and industry partners; attend meetings.
• Ensure safety procedures and sustainability are practiced in learning environments.
• Contribute to planning, design, development and review of educational programs.
• Engage in professional learning to maintain currency in industry and pedagogy.
• Perform general administration including attendance and progression monitoring.
