Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with current industry currency.
  • One of the listed training and assessment credentials or a secondary teaching qualification with an assessor or delivery credential.
  • Higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education approved by TAFE Queensland.

Mandatory Qualifications / Requirements
  • Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
    • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
    • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
    • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
    • TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
    • TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
    • TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
    • A secondary teaching qualification and one (1) of the following credentials:
      • TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
      • TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor;
    • A higher‑level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
    • Applicants must also demonstrate:
      • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
      • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform training and assessment practices.
      • Ongoing professional development in vocational education, competency‑based training and assessment.

    Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience must be provided at interview.

    Highly Desirable Requirements
    • Strong digital literacy skills across a range of technologies and learning platforms.
    • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • Experience delivering learning in online, blended, and face‑to‑face environments.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
