Job summary

Queensland Government is recruiting a TAFE Teacher to design, deliver and assess quality VET programs at the Townsville Trade Training Centre. You will work with industry and education partners to ensure currency and relevance in teaching practices and assessment.

The role requires coaching, flexible delivery modes, and proactive student engagement, with responsibilities spanning classroom, workplace, and online learning environments. A permanent, full-time appointment is offered.

Qualifications

• Mandatory vocational competency at the delivery level and a recognized teaching credential.
• One of the following teaching credentials: TA E40122/TA E40116/TA E40110/TA E50122/TA E50111/TA E50211/TA E50216 or a secondary teaching qualification with related credentials.
• Current industry skills relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in vocational training, learning and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess quality VET learning across on-campus, workplace, simulated and online environments.
• Design and implement assessment tools aligned with National Training Packages.
• Participate in continuous improvement and professional development activities.
• Monitor student attendance, progression and provide constructive feedback.
