Job summary

TAFE Queensland invites applications for an Educational Team Leader to lead teaching teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong student experiences. You will oversee planning, assessment strategies, and staff management, while driving continuous improvement within the team and campus operations across North Queensland.

The role reports to the Faculty Manager and is a temporary, full-time position until June 2027, with primary base at a TAFE Queensland North campus and potential duties at

Qualifications

• Certificate IV and/or Diploma in the relevant discipline.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110) or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50111/TAE50116) or successors.
• Evidence of current industry skills aligned to training package requirements.
• Evidence of professional development in vocational training, learning and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, instruction and guidance to educators and teaching teams to achieve objectives.
• Oversee educational delivery planning, training strategies, yearly plans, and delivery timetables.
• Manage people processes including performance planning, development plans and performance management activities.
• Provide feedback and assessment of team performance and file outcome recommendations.
• Monitor training and assessment quality to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
• Advise supervisors on staff management, student management and programming; act as a conduit for advice.
• Assist with budget and financial performance reporting and provide timely advice to stakeholders.
• Promote safety and model the values of Safety First and Working Together.
