Job summary

Mackay Radiology, part of the IDX Group, is seeking a highly skilled Sonographer for Mackay. Join a supportive team in a modern imaging environment, with opportunities across general, MSK, obstetric and vascular ultrasound, including a dedicated breast imaging clinic where applicable.

Graduate Diploma/Master in Medical Ultrasound and ASAR registration are required, with 2+ years postgraduate experience preferred. Weekend on-call and clinic variety available in tropical North Queensland.

Qualifications

• ASAR-accredited Sonographer with current ASAR registration.
• Graduate Diploma or Master in Medical Ultrasound.
• 2+ years postgraduate ultrasound experience.
• Experience in breast, general, MSK, obstetric and vascular ultrasound.
• Willing to participate in rotating weekend on-call roster and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of scans including general, MSK, vascular, obstetric and gynaecological studies.
• Work across hospital and private clinic settings, including a breast imaging clinic if applicable.
• Participate in weekend and on-call roster.
• Collaborate with radiologists and colleagues.
• Ensure rooms are restocked, cleaned and patients are finalized.
