Job summary
Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a Registered Nurse for Nurse Bank with full-time, part-time, or casual opportunities. You will provide safe, patient-centered care across multiple wards, including Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology, in a dynamic public hospital environment.
The role offers rostered shifts, exposure to diverse clinical settings, and opportunities to develop clinical expertise while supporting patient flow and care delivery within the hospital network.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- Minimum 6 months demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting.
- Ability to work unsupervised during periods of high demand and activity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and appropriate care in a patient-focused environment.
- Rostered shifts across the Calvary Mater in diverse clinical settings including Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology.
- Work across wards as a Nurse Bank employee to develop expertise in a diverse public hospital.
