Job summary

Moonlight Cinema Adelaide, part of EVT, is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee day-to-day venue operations, including site setup, crew management, and F&B control during the seasonal run.

You will recruit and train seasonal staff, coordinate bump-in/out, supervise cinema/AV tasks, and ensure safety and policy compliance. The role requires strong leadership and flexibility for afternoon/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a venue, operations, hospitality, events, entertainment, retail or F&B management.
• Strong experience delivering exceptional customer service and leading high-performing teams.
• Experience managing and motivating a casual or seasonal workforce.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Comfort with learning new systems and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in cinema, events, outdoor entertainment, or venue management is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day venue operations, including site set-up and pack-down.
• Coordinate seasonal bump-in and bump-out activities, including production scheduling.
• Lead and develop a team of approximately 30 onsite crew members with the Assistant Venue Manager.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop seasonal team members.
• Manage Food & Beverage operations, including ordering, inventory control, and invoicing.
• Oversee sponsorship activations and ensure contractual deliverables are met.
• Prepare rosters, manage payroll, and control labour costs.
• Manage cinema content and support audio-visual operations, including screen and sound set-up.
• Ensure compliance with management plans, WHS requirements, and company policies.
• Provide leadership during predominantly afternoon and evening shifts.

• Providing leadership during predominantly afternoon and evening shifts throughout the season.

About the Candidate

Essential Requirements

• Current RSA certification.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
