Job summary

EDP Hotels is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead one of its established hospitality venues in South Australia. You will drive performance, ensure compliance, and deliver exceptional guest experiences while empowering a diverse team.

You will lead day-to-day operations, manage labour costs, and implement strategies to grow revenue and profitability, maintaining high standards across food, beverage and gaming operations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing hospitality, hotel or licensed venue operations.
• Strong leadership to motivate and develop teams.
• Knowledge of liquor licensing, gaming and compliance.
• Experience managing labour costs, budgets and profitability.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
• Experience with rostering, workforce planning and performance management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Calm, confident problem-solving and decision-making.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain liquor and gaming approvals.
• Experience managing a hotel, entertainment venue or hospitality business with F&B and gaming operations.
• Multi-department operational management experience.
• Exposure to driving venue promotions, events and business growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, WHS, and legislative requirements.
• Lead, support, coach and develop department leaders and team members.
• Deliver outstanding customer service standards throughout the venue.
• Manage labour costs through effective workforce planning and rostering.
• Monitor business performance and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability.
• Oversee stock management, purchasing, supplier relationships and cost controls.
• Implement promotional and marketing initiatives to grow patronage and revenue.
• Manage customer concerns and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Recruit, train and mentor employees to build high-performing teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Identify and report operational, compliance and business risks.
• Ensure the venue operates in line with licence conditions and company standards.
