Job summary

IAA Australia is seeking an Auction Valuer (Salvage) to value vehicles online from Melbourne, Brisbane or remotely. This autonomous, nationwide role lets you own valuations across the portfolio using auction data, pricing tools and market trends.

You’ll partner with Remarketing, Sales and Operations, provide insights for pricing strategy, and help build the AU pricing guide over time. Hybrid working after onboarding is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience valuing vehicles; salvage valuation is a strong plus, but we’re open to strong vehicle valuation, dealer trade, or insurance assessing backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct salvage valuations across vehicles, heavy salvage, caravans and marine using auction data and pricing tools.
• Meet accuracy benchmarks and SLA turnaround times.
• Stay on top of market conditions and auction trends.
• Partner with Remarketing, Sales and Operations to keep valuations aligned with business and customer needs.
• Provide valuation insights to support internal decisions and customer conversations.
• Supply buy prices for denied claim vehicles and support pricing strategy for auction outcomes.
• Maintain and improve the AU Vehicle Database.
• Help build out the AU pricing guide and refine valuation methodology over time.

This is a highly autonomous, national-level role with real scope to shape how we value vehicles across the country - and no, you won’t need to go stand in a yard to do it. Every valuation is completed through our online portal, so this role is fully computer-based and flexible on location.

What You’ll Do

Valuation & Market Analysis

• Maintain and improve the IAA AU Vehicle Database
• Help build out the AU pricing guide and refine valuation methodology over timeEnsure compliance with company policy and industry standards

About You

• Experience valuing vehicles - salvage valuation experience is a strong plus, but we’re also keen to hear from people with strong vehicle valuation, dealer trade, or insurance assessing backgrounds
• A sharp eye for identifying vehicle spec level and condition
• Comfortable interpreting auction data and pricing models
• Strong communicator who can work confidently across teams
