Job summary

Carma is seeking a Vehicle Quality Inspector in Sydney to join our Automotive Production team. You will inspect inbound vehicles inside and out, verify features function correctly, and log every detail to uphold Carma standards.

The role requires automotive experience, a passion for cars, and comfort with technology, including Apple products. A NSW driver’s licence is preferred, and on-site work at our St Peters office is required.

• Experience in an automotive environment (workshop, retail, or similar)
• Genuine interest in cars and willingness to learn more
• Comfort using technology and Apple products; quick to adapt to new systems
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and juggle tasks
• Strong eye for detail and pride in high-quality work

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound vehicles inside and out for scratches, dents, stains and wear
• Test all vehicle features (windows, locks, infotainment, etc.) to ensure proper operation
• Record findings precisely in company systems to verify Carma standards
• Follow step-by-step procedures to maintain workflows and contribute to team efficiency
• Support the automotive production team with tasks such as moving, washing, and general duties

Join Carma as an Vehicle Quality Inspector and be the expert eye behind every picture-perfect, road-ready car. You’ll inspect, assess, and record each detail to make sure every vehicle looks great, drives perfectly, and meets our high Carma standards — ready to delight its next owner.

What you'll be doing?

• Inspect like a pro: Carry out thorough checks on inbound vehicles inside and out. Spotting anything from scratches, dents to stains.
• Test every feature: Make sure all vehicle functions (windows, locks, infotainment systems, you name it) are working just as they should.
• Record with precision: Log every detail accurately in our systems to ensure each car meets Carma standards.
• Process perfectionist: Work through our step-by-step procedures with precision, helping keep cars, workflows, and the team running smoothly.
• Support: Support the wider automotive production team moving cars around, washing cars and general tasks as required.

Okay, let’s talk about you:

• You have some experience working in an automotive environment, whether it is within a workshop, retail, or insurance.
• You have an interest in cars - or are keen to learn more.
• You’re comfortable using tech (especially Apple products) and can get the hang of new systems quickly.
• You’re open to learning new ways of doing things.
• You like to work on your feet, with different priorities everyday - juggle multiple things at once doesn't bother you.
• You’ve got an eye for detail and take pride in high-quality work.
• You have a valid NSW drivers licence.

In this role you’ll be based in our St Peters, office, with room for parking and train/ bus stops nearby.
