Job summary

Programmed is seeking a reliable Yardman / Driver (Pre-Delivery Inspector) in Truganina to perform pre-delivery vehicle inspections, identify damage or faults, and assist with yard duties. The role is an ongoing casual assignment, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work potential.

You will inspect exteriors and interiors, test vehicle functionality, check fluids and tyres, and move vehicles around the yard. A valid licence, ability to pass checks, and basic mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle inspections or automotive work preferred.
• Must have experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Current and valid driver’s licence; ability to provide Driving History Record.
• Willing to complete a National Police Check.
• Forklift licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
• Inspect exteriors for scratches, dents, paint damage and other defects.
• Check interiors, including upholstery, seat belts and general condition.
• Test vehicle functionality (radios, dashboards, air conditioning, windows, locks, lights).
• Check under the bonnet for leaks and fluid levels.
• Check tyre condition and pressure.
• Identify and report any damage or mechanical issues.
• Move and position vehicles within the yard.
• Assist with general yard and vehicle handling duties.
