Job summary

JJR Engineering on Australia’s Gold Coast seeks a skilled automotive manufacturing technician to build and fit out truck bodies and components. You’ll work in a modern workshop with hands-on fabrication, MIG welding, and assembly, delivering high-quality builds.

Our team values safety, reliability, and craftsmanship. A four-day week regime and weekend breaks make this a rewarding role for hands-on tradespeople with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified in automotive manufacturing operations.
• Experience fabricating, fitting and assembling truck bodies.
• MIG welding skills; hydraulic and electrical experience valued.
• Commitment to workshop safety and quality.
• Forklift licence is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and fit out truck bodies and components in a modern workshop.
• Operate welding equipment and ensure quality workmanship.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with pre-employment tests.

Location: Yatala, Gold Coast
Pay: $40 per hour + Super
Schedule: Monday to Thursday – every weekend is a long weekend!
Bonus: $130-$220 Weekly Attendance Bonus!

What We’re Looking For:

Trade-Qualified - Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations

Experience in fabrication, fitting, and assembly of truck bodies and components

MIG Welding skills, Hydraulic and Electrical experience – highly regarded

Strong focus on workshop safety and quality

Forklift Licence – bonus points if you have one

Ability to pass a practical skills test & pre-employment medical
