Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Vascular Sonographer with experience in operating theatre scanning, neonatal and adult ICU vascular imaging, and inpatient/outpatient vascular assessment. The permanent part-time role offers 8 hours per week in the Vascular Ultrasound Unit.

You should hold a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science or equivalent, with a postgraduate qualification and current AHPRA registration; EPA Licence or ASAR accreditation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent with postgraduate qualification.
• Current AHPRA registration and EPA Licence or ASAR accreditation.
• Experience in vascular ultrasound in a tertiary hospital.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure department efficiency and patient throughput in the Vascular Ultrasound Unit.
• Participate in scheduling, room preparation, consumables, and QA activities.
• Adhere to protocols and implement new techniques within the unit.
• Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community engagement as appropriate.
