Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking a Vascular Laboratory Manager (Grade 5) to lead the non-invasive vascular ultrasound service at The Alfred, part of our public health network serving Melbourne's communities.

The role focuses on strategic and clinical leadership, workforce management, and governance, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred vascular imaging in collaboration with the Vascular Surgery Department.

Qualifications

• ASAR accreditation is required.
• Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (Vascular) or equivalent.
• Active involvement in education or teaching.
• Demonstrated leadership in healthcare.
• Experience supervising trainee sonographers.
• Currently pursuing master's or higher postgraduate in vascular ultrasound.
• Experience in general sonography in addition to vascular.
• Salary packaging and novated leasing awareness.
• Onsite gym and good transport access.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of the Vascular Laboratory.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality vascular ultrasound services.
• Lead workforce management and service development.
• Drive quality improvement and governance.
• Collaborate with Head of Vascular Surgery and Medical Director to optimise service delivery.
