Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a practical and proactive Maintenance Officer to keep Stanmore Place Care Community safe, functional and welcoming for residents. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs and small projects across the care community and gardens while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, handyman or groundskeeping; aged care experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of WHS practices and a commitment to safety.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and minor projects across the care community and gardens.
• Ensure our home meets safety and compliance standards, including WHS regulations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, minimising disruption for residents.
• Manage maintenance supplies and equipment within budget.
• Work as a key part of our team to create a safe and welcoming environment.

What You'll Need:

• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• A trade qualification or ‘Test and Tag’ certification is highly regarded.
