Job summary

Opal HealthCare’s Stanmore Place Care Community seeks a Maintenance Officer to keep the home safe, functional and welcoming for residents. The role involves routine maintenance, minor repairs, and garden work across the care community.

With a practical, can-do attitude and a focus on WHS, you’ll support safety standards, respond quickly to requests, and manage supplies within budget. This is a day-shift, on-site position at Stanmore Place.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping role (aged care experience a plus).
• A practical, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of WHS practices and a commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and minor projects across the care community and gardens.
• Ensure home meets safety and compliance standards, including WHS regulations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, minimising disruption for residents.
• Manage maintenance supplies and equipment within budget.
• Work as a key part of the team to create a safe and welcoming environment.
