Job summary

Valuations Manager role based in Brisbane CBD, leading valuation engagements and client conversations within Corporate Finance. Ownership spans analysis to final report with scope in M&A and due diligence, plus two days from home and relocation assistance for suitable international applicants.

The role requires strong technical knowledge in PPAs, impairment testing and equity valuations, plus CA/CFA or equivalent qualifications and experience mentoring junior staff.

• Confident report writer who can defend a valuation view with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage valuation engagements including PPAs and intangible asset valuations, convertible notes, employee equity valuations and impairment testing.
• Analyse financial data in detail to ensure valuations are accurate.
• Lead management interviews and identify key issues.
• Form a view on business and equity value for discussions with Directors/Partners.
• Prepare detailed comparable company and transaction analyses.
• Manage writing of business valuation reports.
• Contribute to business development and identify new work.
• Mentor, review and develop junior staff.
• Improve processes and build strong internal and client relationships.

Step into a manager role where you own the valuation, lead the client conversation and build the team around you.

About The Role

A well-regarded Brisbane firm is looking for a Valuations Manager to run a broad range of valuation engagements and deliver independent, reliable advice to clients. You will take ownership of projects from analysis through to the final report, form your own view on business and equity value, and act as a trusted adviser to Directors and Partners. The Corporate Finance team also covers M&A and financial due diligence, so there is scope to broaden your experience over time. This is a Brisbane based role with 2 days working from home, and relocation assistance is available for the right international applicant.

What You Will Be Doing

Managing valuation engagements including PPAs and intangible asset valuations, convertible notes, employee equity valuations and impairment testing

Analysing financial data in detail to make sure every valuation is accurate

Leading management interviews and identifying key issues

Forming a view on business and equity value for discussion with the Director or Partner

Preparing detailed comparable company and transaction analysis

Managing the writing of business valuation reports

Contributing to business development and identifying new work

Mentoring, reviewing and developing junior team members

Improving processes and building strong internal and client relationships

What We Are Looking For

Experience delivering business valuations in a professional services or advisory environment

Strong technical knowledge across PPAs, impairment testing and equity valuations

Chartered Accountant, CFA or equivalent qualification (or working towards)

Confident report writer who can defend a valuation view with senior stakeholders

Proven ability to review work and develop junior staff
