Job summary

AkzoNobel in Mackay QLD is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator / Storeperson to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

You will assist in day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, tinting paint, stock control, and documentation, while maintaining safety standards and excellent service. A forklift license and SAP experience are valued assets for this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse role.
• Forklift license and counterbalance forklift experience.
• Current manual driver's license.
• Experience with SAP (desirable).
• Strong focus on health and safety.
• Good physical fitness and health.
• Driven, self-motivated personality.
• Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations including receiving, picking, packing, tinting paint, and dispatching goods.
• Conduct stock control activities such as cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe, efficient handling of goods.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service through effective communication, accuracy, and handling of stock within the centre.
• Process documentation such as Dangerous Goods paperwork, delivery dockets, and consignment notes.
• Support the Trade Centre Manager with data entry, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
