Job summary

ACCIONA is leading a six month Project Engineer - Utilities contract in the Central West Orana region of NSW, Australia. This on-site role focuses on utility relocations, coordinating Essential Energy and Telstra, and managing design reviews and permits. Bus-in, bus-out roster with camp-style accommodation supports a 14 days on/7 days off cycle.

You will oversee subcontractors, track progress, and report to the project team, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery of the relocation works.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil, electrical or related engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience delivering utility relocation or service undergrounding on infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors, including scope, program and on-site performance.
• Familiarity with utility authority requirements and approval processes.
• Strong planning, coordination and reporting skills; able to run a package independently.

Responsibilities

• Engage subcontractors and hold them to scope, program, quality and safety on site.
• Coordinate with Essential Energy, Telstra and asset owners on approvals, outages and access.
• Review relocation designs for constructability with designers and asset owners.
• Sequence relocation works around the wider construction program for site access.
• Track progress, cost and program; prepare status reports and forecasts.
• Prepare Inspection Test Plans and checklists; close out non-conformances promptly.
• Manage permits, approvals and landowner interfaces tied to relocation works.
