Job summary

Walcha Council is seeking an experienced infrastructure leader to take Walcha's water, waste and urban services from reactive to strategic. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure & Development, you will lead three coordinators and shape asset management and forward planning.

You will develop long-term plans, prepare business cases and statutory reports, manage budgets and contracts, and represent Council on infrastructure matters with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in civil/environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
• Experience managing water, wastewater and/or waste services.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation relating to waste and water supply.

About the Role

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in civil/environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline
• Experience managing water, wastewater and/or waste services
• Highly valued: Qualifications in Project Management, Leadership or Asset Management
• Knowledge of environmental legislation relating to waste and water supply
• Hands-on leader who stays composed under public scrutiny and makes sound calls
