Job summary

LifeHealthcare, part of EBOS MedTech, is seeking an accomplished Upstream Business Development Manager to shape the future growth across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and the United States. You will identify and evaluate new opportunities, build strategic supplier partnerships and support mergers, acquisitions and integration activities.

Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will influence strategic direction with senior stakeholders, develop robust business cases,

Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate development, strategy, M&A, investment evaluation or business development within healthcare.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business case development, valuation and investment assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating strategic partnerships, supplier opportunities or acquisition targets.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Experience operating across multiple markets or international environments.
  • A degree in Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Drive identification & evaluation of new growth opportunities across established & emerging therapeutic markets.
  • Lead strategic assessments of prospective suppliers, partnerships and agency opportunities.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes & emerging healthcare technologies to inform decision-making.
  • Develop robust business cases, commercial assessments & investment recommendations for executive stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, innovators, start-ups and strategic partners.
  • Support M&A activities including target identification, due diligence, commercial assessment and integration planning.
  • Partner with commercial & executive teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new partnerships & opportunities.
  • Represent EBOS MedTech at industry events, conferences & global forums to identify innovative technologies for future growth opportunities.

Lead Strategic Growth Across Global MedTech Markets. We are seeking an accomplished and commercially astute Upstream Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth of EBOS MedTech.

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, this highly visible position will drive strategic initiatives across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and the United States. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you will identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, build strategic supplier partnerships, assess market expansion opportunities, and support mergers, acquisitions and integration activities.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of one of the region's leading medical technology organisations while bringing innovative healthcare solutions to clinicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You are a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record in corporate development, strategy, business development or M&A within healthcare, MedTech or a related industry.You bring exceptional analytical capability, are comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity, and have a natural ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders. Equally, you are excited by innovation and driven to identify opportunities that create long-term value and market leadership.

To be successful, you will likely possess:
  • Experience in corporate development, strategy, M&A, investment evaluation or business development within healthcare.
