Job summary

Zurich Australia is launching its General Insurance Underwriting Apprenticeship Program for 2026. You’ll be supported by experienced Assistant Underwriters who coach you through underwriting fundamentals and help you build confidence to support broker partners—responding to inquiries and keeping operations running smoothly.

You’ll rotate across the underwriting team to gain hands-on exposure, learn risk assessment and decision making, and begin your trainee underwriter journey with a strong

We're excited to launch our General Insurance Underwriting Apprenticeship Program for 2026!

You’ll be supported from day one by a team of experienced Assistant Underwriters who will coach you through the fundamentals of Underwriting Services and help you build the confidence and knowledge to support our broker partners-responding to customer enquiries and keeping day-to-day underwriting operations running smoothly.

You’ll also rotate across the wider underwriting team, gaining hands-on exposure to the different lines of General Insurance Zurich offers. Along the way, you'll develop practical skills, learn how we assess risk and make decisions, and begin your journey as a trainee underwriter with a strong foundation for growth.
