Job summary

Rural Affinity in New South Wales is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team in a hands-on, detail-focused role. You will learn how underwriting works in practice and contribute to the smooth running of a fast-paced, collaborative team.

You will assist with day-to-day admin, broker requests, certificates of currency, endorsements, data entry and records. With time, you will support quotes and renewals as your knowledge grows.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the underwriting team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
• Managing shared inboxes and responding to broker requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Preparing Certificates of Currency and processing policy endorsements.
• Assisting with data entry, documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Working closely with underwriters to keep workflows moving efficiently.
• Building understanding of underwriting processes, risk assessment and decision-making.
• Over time, taking on more responsibility including supporting quotes and renewals.
