The Sydney Financial Lines underwriting team at CFC seeks a proactive Underwriter to grow and service a Financial Lines portfolio. You will manage renewals, assess new business, and deliver high-quality service to brokers while ensuring compliance with guidelines.

With 2+ years in Financial Lines and strong knowledge of the Australian market, you will strengthen broker relationships and drive profitable portfolio performance in a collaborative environment at CFC.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Financial Lines underwriter.
• Strong understanding of the Australian insurance market.
• A commitment to following, applying, and interpreting underwriting guidelines.
• Strong commercial acumen and a determination to maintain a profitable portfolio.
• Positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
• Strong sales orientation, with confidence in pursuing and closing new business.

Responsibilities

Description

Are you a motivated and relationship-driven insurance professional looking to take the next step in your Underwriting Career? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriter to join our Sydney Financial Lines team and support our growing Financial Lines portfolio.

About the role: You will play a key role in managing and growing a Financial Lines portfolio by handling renewals, assessing and converting new business opportunities, and delivering responsive, high‑quality service to brokers. You’ll monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with underwriting and legislative requirements, stay across industry developments, and actively participate in market engagement and networking activities.

Responsibilities Include:
