Job summary

Underground Mining Alliance LTD is seeking expressions of interest for skilled and experienced Shift Supervisors with strong underground development experience for upcoming works across Africa. Roles involve overseeing shift operations, training national staff, and leading safety-first practices on a 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off roster.

The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years in underground shift supervision, hold a current underground shift supervisor ticket, and possess proven

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Underground Shift Supervisors role.
• Have a current Underground Shift Supervisors Ticket.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of shift workers and equipment at an underground mine.
• Ensure workers on shift are trained and competent to perform their duties safely and productively.
• Train National Supervisors and workforce to a high standard.
• Ensure mining operations are conducted safely and report safety issues promptly to the Underground Manager.
• Ensure targets are met.
• Manage and supervise the working areas in accordance with Acts and Regulations.
• Oversee duty of care to all employees, sub-contractors, and visitors.
• Organise crews, rosters and day-to-day site operations.
• Conduct daily work planning and toolbox meetings.
• Submit incident reports to the Site Manager.
• Carry out crew training, assessments and performance reviews.
