Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services Pty, a Thiess Company, seeks an experienced Shaftlining / Shotcrete Operator to join our Raise Bore Division. This full-time role on a 2 and 2 roster includes flights from your Point of Hire, accommodation, and meals at site.

You will operate raise bore gear and shaft-related equipment safely, read drill plans, monitor performance, and perform inspections and basic maintenance as part of a collaborative underground team.

Qualifications

• Recent experience on underground shaft line rigs or as a Shotcrete Operator.
• Proven experience with underground heavy equipment.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to site procedures.
• Team oriented with a can-do attitude.
• Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
• Willingness to obtain National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate raise bore and shaft-related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Understand raise boring processes, including pilot hole drilling, reaming, and shaft development.
• Monitor drilling performance and identify operational issues.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and basic equipment maintenance.
• Read and interpret drill plans, technical drawings and work instructions.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
