Job summary

Marble Group is seeking candidates for an underground paste and backfill crew role in North Queensland. The position offers a stable, long-term opportunity with a strong safety culture and pathways for progression.

You will work an 8:6 roster with FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane and stay in a well-supported camp with ample amenities. Prior underground experience and a proactive attitude are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have underground experience as construction crew, service crew or paste crew operator.
• Good attitude and a willingness to get the work done.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment mining medical.
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Coordinating backfill operations with underground mining teams to hit schedule requirements
• Backfill construction, fill reticulation installation, barricade construction and exclusion zone setup
• Operating and maintaining equipment used to prepare and apply backfill materials to voids
• Running inspection, monitoring and testing routines during filling to ensure product specs are met
• Holding yourself to high safety standards and setting the example for those around you

The Role

Be a core part of the underground paste and backfill crew, keeping operations moving safely and on schedule. Day-to-day this includes:
