Job summary

Perilya Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our Broken Hill Operations team. You will lead all underground and surface mine survey activities, maintaining survey control networks and mine plans to support safe, efficient mining operations.

The role requires extensive underground surveying experience, proficiency with Deswik/Vulcan/AutoCAD, and a strong grasp of NSW regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Spatial Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in underground mining survey environments.
• Competent in mine survey software such as Deswik, Vulcan, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of NSW mining legislation and statutory survey requirements.
• Experience with total stations, laser scanners, and GNSS technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all underground and surface mine survey activities.
• Maintain accurate survey control networks and mine plans.
• Produce statutory plans and ensure compliance with NSW legislative requirements.
• Conduct development, production, and infrastructure surveys.
• Provide survey support to mine planning, geology, and operational departments.
• Manage survey data, reporting, and spatial databases.
• Oversee survey equipment calibration, maintenance, and technology implementation.
• Mentor and support survey personnel and contractors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical projects.
