Job summary

Perilya Limited in Broken Hill seeks a Senior Surveyor to lead mine surveying, delivering accurate control networks and compliant plans for underground operations. You will collaborate with planning, geology, and operations teams to ensure safe, efficient outcomes.

The role requires experience with Deswik, Vulcan, and AutoCAD, plus knowledge of NSW legislation and survey requirements; supervision of survey personnel and contractors is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Spatial Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in underground mining survey environments.
• Competent in mine survey software such as Deswik, Vulcan, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of NSW mining legislation and statutory survey requirements.
• Experience with total stations, laser scanners, and GNSS technologies.

• Maintain accurate survey control networks and mine plans.
• Produce statutory plans and ensure compliance with NSW legislative requirements.
• Conduct development, production, and infrastructure surveys.

• Oversee survey equipment calibration, maintenance, and technology implementation.
• Mentor and support survey personnel and contractors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical projects.

About the Role

Perilya is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our Broken Hill Operations team. This pivotal role will provide accurate and timely survey services to support safe, efficient, and compliant underground mining activities. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of mine surveying, maintain statutory compliance, and work closely with planning, geology, and operational teams to deliver high-quality survey outcomes.
