Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join a Life of Mine Studies team on a world-class underground copper project in Brisbane. You will work on long-term design, scheduling and strategy with exposure to caving methods and Pre-Feasibility activities.

You will lead complex planning tasks using Deswik tools, collaborate with stakeholders and deliver robust recommendations with autonomy and a clear pathway toward Principal-level responsibility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on underground mine planning and scheduling experience.
• Strong Deswik skills, ideally Deswik.Sched and Deswik.CAD.
• LOM / long-term planning exposure and ability to develop strategies.
• Strong technical and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underground mine planning, design and scheduling.

• Developing and optimising schedules using Deswik.
• Supporting Pre-Feasibility and future study phases.
• Evaluating mine sequences, development strategies and scenarios.
