Job summary

Ora Banda Mining Ltd is seeking a Mine Geologist - Underground to support the Drive to 300koz+ and beyond. You will conduct daily underground geology activities, mapping, sampling and 3D model updates to optimise ore development.

You will work closely with Mining, Engineering and Survey teams to maximise ore recovery, document stope notes and contribute to mine planning. Tertiary Geology degree and 1+ year experience preferred; WA drivers license and First Aid desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Geology or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in a similar role.
• Familiar with Micromine, Leapfrog, Geobank.
• Professional membership in AIG or AusIMM preferred.
• Strong communication and team collaboration.
• WHS Act awareness and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Drive to 300koz+ through Resource Conversion, Definition and Underground Exploration drilling programs.
• Conduct daily mine geology and grade control activities including mapping, sampling, and plan updates.
• Ensure development is mapped, sampled and documented for regulatory compliance and 3D models.
• Collect structural geology data from underground mapping and core logging.
• Interpret lithology, structure, alteration and mineralisation through mapping and sampling.
• Collaborate with Mining, Engineering and Survey to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
• Conduct stopes inspections, notes and reconciliations with geological input.
• Submit geometallurgical samples for modelling and planning.
• Assist with GC drilling program design and GC proposals.
• Provide accurate ore movement data and weekly/monthly checks.
