Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking an experienced underground drill operator for our Mungari Operations in Australia. You’ll join a high-performing underground team focused on long-hole drilling, reading mine plans, and delivering safe, accurate production.

You will operate Epiroc long hole rigs, conduct pre-starts, and troubleshoot equipment to minimise downtime. A current C-class license and 12-hour shifts on a 7:7 roster are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience.
• At least 12 months operating Epiroc production long hole drill rigs.
• Drill to plan with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Commitment to safe work practices and site procedures.
• Reliable team player with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, accurate, productive long hole drilling to specification using mechanised drill rigs.
• Read and interpret mine plans, drill to line, gradient and profile for efficient production.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot Epiroc long hole drill rigs.
• Complete thorough pre-start inspections and ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
• Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and crew to meet production targets.
