Job summary

Ampcontrol's Underground Field Service team is growing, and we’re seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to support our underground mining customers across New South Wales and Queensland. Based out of Tomago, NSW, you’ll travel regularly to mine sites and provide installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and breakdown support, with a 4-day work week and comprehensive travel benefits.

Qualifications

Must hold Electrical Trade Qualification with Electrical Supervisors license
Experience with HV electrical equipment in mining/industrial environments
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
Experience with underground coal systems, ideally Ampcontrol controls
Knowledge of explosion protection techniques
Strong report writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

Install, test and commission electrical equipment underground and in workshops
Perform onsite electrical auditing, testing, fault-finding and breakdown support
Commission and install mining electrical systems and equipment
Provide face-to-face technical support to customers onsite
Work autonomously and in small teams across various mine sites
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation promptly
Maintain safety, quality and customer satisfaction
