Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking a Pump Fitter for an opportunity at the Hazelmere Workshop in Western Australia, Perth-based applicants only. You will install, maintain and repair underground dewatering and service pumps to ensure water management and continuous mining operations.

The role requires experience in underground mining dewatering pumps, with a trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pump Fitter, ideally in underground mining and/or dewatering.
• Exposure to mono, submersible and centrifugal pumps is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair underground dewatering and service pumps.
• Monitor pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues.
• Conduct routine inspections, fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Assemble and maintain pipework, valves and fittings.
