Job summary

MCA Engineering is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers to join our Central West NSW project on an underground construction site. Operate cranes, rig, lift and position loads in challenging conditions while following lift plans and site procedures.

You will inspect equipment, perform pre-start checks, and report faults. The role requires HRWL license, relevant tickets, and the ability to work 2:1 days and nights rosters with a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as Crane Operator or Rigger in underground/mining/construction.
• Current HRWL appropriate to role and relevant crane, rigging, dogging tickets.
• Strong knowledge of lift plans and safe lifting procedures.
• Ability to perform pre-start checks and equipment inspections.
• Able to work independently and in a team; strong safety focus.
• Excellent communication and roster availability (2:1 days/nights).
• Must pass pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes in underground construction environments.
• Rig, lift, move and position equipment and components.
• Prepare loads and select lifting equipment per plans.
• Complete lifting operations per lift plans and procedures.
• Inspect lifting equipment for safety and suitability.
• Conduct pre-start crane checks.
• Identify and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Communicate clearly with doggers, supervisors and crews.
• Work safely and in line with site requirements.
