Job summary

Perilya Limited, a well-established Australian mining company with the Broken Hill Operation in New South Wales, seeks an experienced Charge Up Operator to join its underground mining team. This role focuses on safe and efficient blasting operations and compliance with site procedures.

You will conduct charging, blasting, and handling of explosives underground, transport and prepare explosives, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with the shift team to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Underground charge-up experience in metalliferous mining.
• Sound understanding of underground mine safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work a rostered shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Conduct charging, blasting, and handling of explosives in line with site standards and legislative requirements.
• Safely transport, prepare, and use explosives underground.
• Maintain accurate records of explosives usage and blasting activities.
• Work collaboratively with the shift team to achieve production targets.
• Ensure compliance with all site safety policies and procedures.
