Job summary

Harmony Australasia seeks an experienced Charge Up Operator for CSA Mine to perform underground charge-up activities in compliance with safety and site procedures. You will set up detonators, load explosives, and follow blast designs while coordinating with supervisors to ensure safe firing.

The role offers a 7/7 days & nights roster with residential, DIDO or FIFO options from Brisbane or Sydney. A focus on safety and environmental compliance is essential, alongside relevant licences and

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years underground charge-up experience.
  • BEUL and UHL licences are essential.
  • Strong commitment to safety, health and environment.
  • Experience with electronic blasting systems is advantageous.
  • Security clearance for explosives is essential.
  • Ability to follow mine safety procedures and check hazards.

Responsibilities

  • Connecting detonation systems and wiring to ensure controlled blasting.
  • Safely loading explosives into drilled holes for blasting.
  • Following blast designs from engineering plans and drawings.
  • Communicating with supervisors and other operators to prepare for firing.
  • Preparing and cleaning work areas and checking ground conditions.
