Redpath Australia is seeking an Underground Cable Bolt Operator for Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. You will install cable bolts and ground support to underpin safe development and production activities, working with engineers and crews in a safety‑driven environment.

The role requires underground bolting experience, adherence to safety standards and the ability to operate in a team-focused setting on a long-term project with competitive rosters.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience with cable bolting equipment.
• Experience installing cable bolts and ground support systems.
• Strong understanding of underground ground support and geotech requirements.
• Commitment to safety and excellence in operations.
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team.
• Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets.
• Current Australian work rights.
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate cable bolting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install cable bolts per geotechnical designs.
• Carry out ground support installation to required standards.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Mix and install grouts and resins as required.
• Ensure compliance with mine plans, procedures and safety standards.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors and underground crews.
• Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards underground.
