Job summary

Victory Minerals Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bogger Operator to join our Underground Mining team in Ballarat, Victoria. The role reports to the Underground Shift Supervisor and focuses on bogging development headings, loading stockpiles, and maintaining truck efficiency.

Requirements include 3+ years underground hard rock mining experience, ability to operate Sandvik/Cat loaders, and a valid C Class Driver’s Licence. Pre-employment medical and police checks apply.

Qualifications

• 3 years+ underground mining experience.
• Experience with underground hard rock mining techniques, including watering, scaling, bogging of development headings and production stopes.
• Current Vic Shot firing / Black ticket (advantageous).
• Valid C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Experience in narrow-vein mining methods.

Responsibilities

• Bogging of development headings and production stopes.
• Loading stockpiles to trucks and ensuring trucks operate efficiently.
• Bog out and clean faces; inspect for misfires and notify shifts.
• Remote bogging from open stopes using tele-Remotes; tram material from stockpiles.
• Maintain roads in working area free of hazards and pooling water.
• Manual and tele-remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles.

Victory Minerals Pty Ltd is a well-established gold explorer and producer located in Victoria’s gold belt. The company’s core asset is its high-grade underground gold mine in Ballarat, which has been in production since December 2005 and consistently delivers approximately 30,000 to 40,000 ounces of gold each year.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Bogger Operator to join our Underground Mining team. Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, this role is responsible for:

Bogging of development headings production stopes

Loading stockpiles to trucks

Keep trucks operating at full efficiency

Bog out and clean faces

Inspect for misfires, promptly notify the Shift Supervisor, and perform hosing down and scaling as required

Remote Bogging from open stopes using Tele-Remotes

Tram material from stockpiles

Keep all roads in working area tidy and free from pooling water and other potential hazards

Manual and Tele-Remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will possess:

Live or be willing to relocate to Ballarat Victoria

3 years+ underground mining experience

Experience with underground hard rock mining techniques, including watering, scaling, bogging of development headings and production stopes

Initiative and a flexible approach to work

A willingness to build a safe and productive work culture with a high focus on quality and the ability to work autonomously

Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Ability to operate Sandvik/Cat loaders

Experience in production charging

Current Vic Shot firing / Black ticket (advantageous)

Valid C Class Driver’s License

Experience in working in a narrow-vein mining method experience
