Job summary

SMEC, a member of the SJ Group, is seeking an Environmental Planning or Environmental Science Undergraduate to join our Brisbane team for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with major infrastructure projects.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals on environmental impact assessments, studies and reporting, within a supportive multidisciplinary environment that emphasises learning, development and career growth.

Qualifications

• Currently in your third or penultimate year of study in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Passionate about building a career in environmental planning and consulting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of environmental impact assessments, approval applications and environmental management plans.
• Support environmental studies, assessments and reporting.
• Contribute to project delivery within multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with research, data analysis and technical documentation.
• Develop practical skills while working with experienced environmental professionals.
