Job summary

Talent is seeking an experienced UKG Integration Lead to join Melbourne on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will drive strategy, architecture, delivery and ongoing improvement of UKG integrations and workforce tech solutions, collaborating with Payroll, People & Culture and Finance teams as well as external vendors.

UKG Integration Lead – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Melbourne

We are seeking an experienced UKG Integration Lead to join a large, complex enterprise organisation on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a senior, hands‑on role responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, delivery and ongoing improvement of UKG integrations and workforce technology solutions. You will work closely with Payroll, People & Culture, Finance, Technology teams and external vendors to deliver secure, scalable and reliable integration solutions.
The role offers an excellent balance of project delivery, operational support and capability uplift:

• 50% Project Work – UKG integration projects, enhancements and transformation initiatives
• 40% BAU – production support, troubleshooting, monitoring, releases and continuous improvement
• 10% Knowledge Transfer – documentation, mentoring and transferring knowledge to internal teams

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, implementation and enhancement of UKG integrations.
• Deliver integrations between UKG and payroll, HR, finance, identity and other enterprise platforms.
• Translate business and technical requirements into secure and scalable integration solutions.
• Lead integration testing across system, regression, payroll and user acceptance testing.
• Manage integration releases, deployments and operational handovers.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide technical leadership through to resolution.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, standardisation and integration resilience.
• Develop and maintain integration architecture, interface specifications, support procedures and technical documentation.
• Work closely with UKG, internal teams, vendors and service providers to deliver end‑to‑end outcomes.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working with UKG solutions and enterprise integrations, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
• Strong experience designing, developing and supporting integrations between UKG and payroll, HR, finance and other enterprise systems.
• Experience leading integration workstreams within UKG implementation, transformation or major enhancement programs.
• Experience with ADP Payroll integration projects is highly desirable, particularly experience integrating UKG with ADP Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, middleware, file‑based interfaces, data mapping, reconciliation, monitoring and secure integration practices.
• Experience supporting business‑critical integrations in a BAU/production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary technology teams and managing external vendors.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior leaders and non‑technical stakeholders.

About You

You will be a technically strong UKG integration professional who is equally comfortable delivering projects and remaining hands‑on in BAU. You will be able to take ownership of complex integration issues, work effectively across Payroll and Technology teams, and provide clear technical direction.
Importantly, this role also has a strong focus on knowledge transfer and capability uplift, so you will be comfortable documenting solutions, sharing your expertise and supporting internal teams to build greater knowledge of the UKG integration environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced UKG Integration Lead, UKG Technical Lead or Senior UKG Integration Consultant looking to take ownership of a complex enterprise integration landscape while contributing to significant project and transformation activity.
